Campsites and Shelters
< title

These campsites are places that can help improve your overall experience on the track. Avoid rushing your journey to just get from one site to the next, think of these spaces as places to help you settle in and make the most of your journey. Plan to cook & eat outside, watch sunsets, swim and explore the area. Campsites also present an opportunity to meet fellow walkers, playing cards and support people who are struggling. Remember that spaces in these sites are based on a first-come basis. Also remember we are all friends, so try to make room for people who want to squeeze in, especially when the weather is wild. Don’t forget to keep the exact amount on you when paying camping fees as it’s not possible to get any change back, excluding a few places. Keep in mind that you’ll need to get a permit if you’re planning on camping outside a designated area.
