Even though it is unofficial, Hermits Hideaway campsite is among the best campsites on the whole trail. Watch the sun go down behind Mt Sonder as it turns the clouds to a lovely orange-pink colour. The campground only offers tent pads, yet the aforementioned views make it worth the effort. It can get windy at night so try to position yourself near a tree to break the wind a little bit.
