If you’re in for some real treats and are feeling competent to walk some longer walks, why not tackle one of these fascinating walks, each giving you a special glimpse into the natural world of this national park.

1. Boolimba Bluff

Starting from the Carnarvon Gorge Visitor Centre this walk takes you to the Boolimba Bluff Lookouts and back via the Big Bend and Boolimba Bluff walks. Get ready for a really steep walk with steps and ladders.

2. Moss Garden

Starting from the Carnarvon Gorge Visitor Centre this return walk takes you to the uniquely beautiful Moss Garden while exploring the gorge along the way. Feel the change in temperature as you take the last turn and head into the Moss Garden and enjoy the stunning scenery.

3. Carnarvon Gorge Amphitheatre

Starting from the Carnarvon Gorge Visitor Centre walk to the Amphitheatre to be dazzled by the colossal sandstone walls as you walk into this acoustic chamber.

4. Ward’s Canyon

This cool narrow canyon is home to the world’s largest fern – the king fern. Take a visit to get a glimpse of these giants.

5. Aboriginal Art Gallery

Starting from the Carnarvon Gorge Visitor Centre take this walk to the exceptional Aboriginal Art Gallery with the 62-metre long wall full of engravings and information boards explaining the art.
