The Walking Volunteers group mapped this walk from Parramatta to Katoomba, taking in some of the local history sites, such as Bicentennial Square as well as Old Government House in Parramatta, Third Settlement Reserve at Winston Hills, and Rooty Hill historic site.
The walk was opened on 11 October 2019, straight away becoming a part of the »Sydney Walking Tracks« network. It was 65km long at the start, connecting Parramatta and Penrith. In 2022 the walk was extended for another 80 kilometres, stretching it all the way to Katoomba in Blue Mountains.
